We spent Easter in Sweden and my daughter Freja and I went for a walk in the nearby forest.

Got the country wrong when I uploaded it. It's shot in Bådstad, Sweden.

Shot on Canon 5D Mark II, ISO 50, 1/250s, f/2.8 @ 50mm

Happy Easter!

Hi Jens,

yesterday i liked this image, but i thought that something didn't work in it.But the images must convey something and i believe that this scene flooded with light -and with some consequent imperfection- has some your personal meaning, given also the portrayed subject, and therefore i think it is worth considering.Just a remark, the FG in the lower left corner is a bit distracting, maybe a small crop would have improved the composition.

She's a fairy ...

best regards,

Did you use Lightroom with this? This reminds me of the old way that film fades when it's exposed to light. I do like the light, I do like the tilt, the focus is sharp...I'm a little concerned and this is just me, that it lacks a touch of blue and green... I would have been tempted to have a broader spectrum of color....and not pushed it so far to the purples, but I would have had to play with the image. Still, Lightroom tends to pull to the extreme and this reminds me of that processing program. I love the concept here, beautiful girl!

Hello Jens,

“Subtlety” probably is the best word to summarize the impressions this photos leaves on me. Subtlety in the slight tendency towards overexposure. Subtlety in the slight tilt. Subtlety in the slightly centered composition (vertically spoken, at least). But all these features that are said to break the photographic rules, are well dosed here and are combined in a balanced (or should I say “subtle”?) way. They create an atmosphere of innocence and poetry that perfectly fits the subject matter of this picture. A picture that deserves a lot more attention than it got so far.

TFS & kind regards,
