Today it is about the mood and spirit of Christmas.
What do we see here ?
This photo was made a month ago in my Greek Restaurant 'Akropolis' in Naaldwijk-Holland.

Now the funny part in this story; It was also the first time I spoke 'life' to our TL Friend Vassilis Sinopoulos from Athens
(We emailed a few times and exchanged adresses plus phone)

When Petros , the owner of the Restaurant was taking our order my cell-phone rang and it was Vasilis . After we said hello I asked Greek Restaurant owner Petros if he was interested in the latest weather forcast direct from his Greece,so Vassilis and Petros also talked for a while (and since it was Vasilis who called me, I was not to concerned about the phone bill (~_^) ..)

From that moment on, each time I call the Akropolis and ask for Petros to make reservations, I only have to say .. John .. the friend of Vasilis from Athens..and we have the best places in the Restaurant and free Capucino later (what did you 2 talk about Vassilis ...but thanks >>evil grinn .

Often it is said that *Glass* is not an easy photo object and I believe so to.
Many trekkies are in Xmas mood by posting Xmas based photo's , so here is my ' donation'
Have a great December month to you all and thanks for popping in! Signed; John T

Today I close with a Quote I liked:
Never argue with an idiot. They drag you down to their level and then beat you with experience.

Hello John,
Another nice shot with great colors and this time the color of cognac, this already make me feel warm just thinking about it. TFS
Luc

Hello John,

What an interesting and funny story! Now I know what to do if I also would like the best places in a Greek restaurant + a free capucino:))
TFS this moment,

Shelly:)

MMmmmmm!! John, this image really warms me from the inside out. It has finally turned cold here in Texas, and I am searching for warmth (brrrrr). Thanks for sharing the "spirit". THis is a beautiful picture. Your reflections off the glass look beautiful.

I like your closing quote:-)

Hello John,
I guess the christmas is already here. Like the shot, looks like the vsop is really good. Most of all, I like the quote at the end. I'm going to quote it and show off to some of my friends... Thanks..

Hallo John . Perfect and good / funny note!
I like the shine in the glas(I understand its no flash you used but spotlights from the bar?
The cognac's color is also toppie.
Good photo of an Xmas master :-)) Groet, Rob

Groet
Huub

Bring it on John, I'm ready!!

TFS

Goede smaak John ;-) en een leuke verhaal.

Doe het rustig aan...

Jos

we have same taste about pictures!
Well done, with nice colors
Congratulations John

I like the quote. So true. I also like the rich colours and clarity of the photo. Looks very festive.

Be well. I'll be back in about 2 to 3 weeks.

Hallo John, ja dit is een goede stemming maker.
Er zit een dromerige mood in de foto, net een reclame shot. Is glas zo moeilijk? Ik ga misschien
in het weekend experimenteren. Wat leuk dat Vassilis met je gebeld heeftok.
Ok manneke, nogmaals een lekker sfeertje en doei
Joosje

Woo...

I like it...

Regards,
Tar

Nice one! Oddly enough, I took something similar a few days ago in Miami! I'm not much of a drinker, but I always think the bottles look so pretty on the shelves in the bar.

Nice note, too. :))

Take care,
Gayle

Very nice concept of the warming effect that Xmas has in our hearts and souls. Well done John my friend. I hope Petros will always take care of you because Greek hospitality is well known.
Lovely shot and very sharp and the reflections are fine.
