|The lost city of Petra is an archaeological site in Jordan, lying in a basin among the mountains which form the eastern flank of Arabah (Wadi Araba), the large valley running from the Dead Sea to the Gulf of Aqaba. It is famous for having many stone structures carved into the rock. |
This photo was taken prior to "The Sig" a narrow gorge flanked by huge stone cliffs. This pass is the only way to get to Petra without going up the mountains and down again to the valley where Petra is. You may walk, ride a camel or take a horse buggy to go through this approximately 2.2 kilometer long pass. I decided to take a horse buggy is a shot I took from the horse buggy.

I like you're POV here, Andre, especially with the fringe making a nice frame to the top of the photo.
There's maybe a touch of overexposure but the other details make up for that...I especially like the waler with his backpack just ahead of you. Interesting shot, well done!
