|Here is a better rendition. The earlier post was edited on the flight back with my small computer. Not good color rendition. Tomorrow I will post the approach to this magical place. I did shoot in RAW because of the difficult lighting in the desert.|

I think RAW has given good depth,details and tonal range on the canyons as well as the patterns created on the waters surface. A really incredible presentation.
This is a fantastic image with such natural colours of the sedimentary strata and the horseshoe shape of the river's course. Do you have any idea how long it has taken for the river to erode down from the peneplain above to it's current level? The joint pattern and horizontal bedding suggest virtually no structural deformation during that time with plateau-type uplift only. Congratulations on a superb image.
