This was once the lifeline between the central islands and southern islands of the Florida Keys - the old bridge. It has seen much decay over the years and little is left of it nowadays and certainly none can be used anymore.
It has been replaced in the 1980's by the new Seven Mile Bridge (can be seen to the left of the image) - aptly named because it is 7 miles in length.
To the west is the Gulf of Mexico and to the east, the Atlantic Ocean, and below are very strong currents that rip across the bridge's support columns.
It connects Knight's Key in the Middle Keys to Little Duck Key in the Lower Keys.

This image has an added graduation filter effect to darken the sky a little.

Hi Dai,
Excellent PoV with the bridge disappearing into the distance, perhaps a smaller aperture may have kept the whole bridge in focus

Great note and use the filter to bring a tad bit of drama to the image. I like this area of Florida.........warm most of the year.
