An absolute iris beauty David. It must be the peak of blooming season in Tasmania. I like how you composed it, emphasizing the tongue-like appearance of the lower petals. It has a delicate paper-like quality, and of course the colors are very striking. (We have a newly elected President, and I am glad to have taken off from work for two weeks to volunteer for his election campaign. This is a really beautiful portrait of a flower here! Its light and delicate nature is captured well and its angled position seems to give a feeling of movement, like a butterfly mid-flight. Beautiful textures and vibrant colours shown here. Very well done.
