Had a great day off yesterday, but did not find anything to shoot....B-(.....Light was too harsh.....etc. I found a few color shots on my chip of these deer that I had missed, so maybe I'll post them early next week. I've had alot of fun processing these deer, because of their beauty, but I've also learned a few tricks from my fellow Trekkers!

This photo was processed in this order....it may be correct, or not....but this is how I did it. I removed purple fringe, raised histogram, clarified and convered to BW. Then I corrected Contrast and brightness, Sharpened. The lighting here was low, the time was around 5:45pm and it gets dark aroun 6:15ish....

Thanks to all who have been so kind to comment!
B-)
Linda

Hi Linda,
beautiful capture, this head on POV is fabulous, Excellent details, sharp to the dimples on his nose. Very well composed, with a very nice OOF, BG and great crop.
TFS..Sky

Linda,
Each time you post one of these pictures, you up the ante! Fantastic shot! As I've said before, the b&w works so incredibly well here. As for the composition, I love the fact that he's staring you down and has his ears perked listening for the slightest noise that may send him off into the woods. Great dof, pov and the details all combine for a portrait that I'm sure he'd rather see on the wall than him ;) Cheers, Todd

Hi Linda,
Amazing how many great pictures you shot of these dears! This one is great too; but I couldn't resut for a WS to show you the perfect 1/3 rule. Take care and have fun.
Hans

Would of been nice with him over the frame ;-)

Lovely shot Linda, good idea to convert to B/W to get rid of the Purple Fringe.
Thanks for sharing.
Michael.

This delicate b&w beauty is my favourite ! Very nice compo, framing and clarity.

TFS,

Andreea

Hello Linda!

Let me go back , as missed a few of your previous postings. Love this B&W version. The composition is neat, the BG is a bit complicated, but not distractive as it is darker than your beautiful subject. Well seem captured and Post-processed.
Cheers!
Robert
