|So, I had another little session with Lady today. I am taking the photos as i am training her in basic commands such as sit, stay, lie down and so forth. In this particular photo i am hold a piece of candy a bit above her head to have her look p and then move on to stand on her hind legs. I am currently training her in holding a position which i put her in. For example, if i lay her down on the side, put her paw around an object and say "hold it" she holds that position until i have taken one or a few pictures. For having started this only yesterday she is doing quite well. Taking the photos with one hand at the same time is not equally easy though.|
For tis photo i put her on my bed, which is covered in white fabric. I had a small lamp behind her and used and external flash. Camera was in Macro mood to ensure a shallow DOF.

Hey Zandra, you certainly have a cute pet there. The image is not my favorite, in fact I miss the remarkable images you used to post many years ago. The framing of this shot appears quite poor, with cropped paws and jewelry. Most importantly, the pose does not offer a center of attention, as Lady looks outside of the frame. Her neck appears obvious in the image but does not offer much to look at. The lighting is unfortunate, with the eyes in the shade. The white background isn't the best choice, in my opinion, for Lady's color, making it seem washed out. Sorry for the negative critique, I know your potential is much higher.

I really like this shot, nice and sharp with an excellent PoV. Mebbies the dogs full length instead of cropping the paws but an excellent shot :-) Best wishes
