Streets of San Francisco
|[Normas para las notas] Notas del fotógrafo|
|This was shot at Fisherman's Wharf in San Francisco. I took two shots. The other shot shows a collection box he set up on the hood of the car with the words "Help send this kid to college" but I like this shot better. |
Remember this is a 35mm shot so it was actually a wider shot than you see here. The left side of the shot covered more of the street so I tried to crop that out as much as I could even though it is still a bit distracting. It was not possible to shoot more to the right as the crosswalk was right there and people were coming and going. Another tough call! how to crop, what angle to shoot, how fast can you move to get the shot. That's the challenge, i guess.
Another point. For those who know San Francisco and especially Fisherman's Wharf, daily life in that area where thousands of tourists come and go is filled with unusual scenes like this. It's a photographer's paradise for people shots.
Other than cropping a bit more tightly there is little or no PP work done on the image. It was shot in color using Kodachrome 25 slide film. This image is a scan from that slide.
