| Introducción: | My name is John van Aarle , living full time in Holland-Europe; now and than in Montreal Canada *_* Taking photo's is a hobby and I started here in July 2005. During this time I've learned a great deal about photography. In here everybody has her-his own ideas.. there is no rule!! What is good and what is not ? *To new members I would like say a few things.. Only post photo's that you like yourself and respect ! That is the best motivation ! You get compliments .. you get advice, good and negative. (Treklens is a micro cosmos of the real world) Each advice/critique is personal but often very useful ! *Than, with posting photo's ..be various! Do not stick to one subject! * Tell about your work, do not copy endless long stories from the internet.. 90% don't read them. Use some info from Internet..ok.. but tell in your own words, it is more personal ! For me ? I am an amateur in photography....like almost all of the members here..I will never be a Pro.. but I try to be a good amateur.. thats my aim !
