I like many here on TL have enjoyed this pastime for years now, and I'm always on the lookout for a great picture. I've used SLR cameras and developed my own B+W films over the years, but due to the popularity and ease of digital photography, I'm now a convert. These days a great digital picture always seems closer and less time consuming than before with film photography and all of its necessities.
I would say generally that my inclination is towards landscape and scenic photography, however nothing is set in stone as a great shot covering any subject may just present itself instantly.
Post shot graphics editing is also a nice challenge for me when things don't go quite to plan. I decided to start off using JASC Paint Shop Pro 8 then upgraded to version 9. However now Adobe Photoshop CS5 is being put to full use.
Recently one of my pictures (not shown on TL) has been shown on TV. This was a very proud moment for me, and for a while afterwards I enjoyed the feeling of being a widely known and capable photographer.
